How the NATO summit really ended?

Trump…the US President… Many people all over the world hate him, are scared of him, admire, o does not understand him. More recently he has been the main newsmaker for the leading world’s mass media. As a true businessman, he tries to suppress junior partners, but at the same time he engages in an equal dialogue with those who are not weaker, or even stronger than him. His method of government is not similar to any of his predecessors in the White House. And it is getting interesting…

And now, it should be noted that he cares about his own image among Americans and the national treasury enrichment. He is ready to destroy the order that was set until he came to power to achieve high results in this matter. He is very aggressive towards European partners. He is introducing new import duties. He does not care about someone from Brussels, Paris and Berlin. At the same time, he sits at the table to negotiate with North Korean dictator, hoping for the Nobel Peace Prize, and then, passes to the Russian president.

Another place, where he showed his aggressive behavior was the NATO summit. Even before the beginning of this event, he attacked some European partners by sending letters. In them he stated the need to increase defense spending to 2 % of GDP. This theme was the main one during his speech at the summit. Trump stated again that his country did not have to pay for the security of Europe. The US President tries to meet the expectations of electorate, as well as the Congress, through this pressure because one of his pre-election promises was to force Europe to increase defense spending that it could defend itself.

It seemed that the European politicians did not have any answer to the US President. However, it only seemed… But later it turned out, that the leaders of Denmark expressed the loudest disagreement with the demand of Trump. The Prime Minister of this small country, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, said that his country was nothing to be embarrassed about NATO partnership, and added that not everything was measured in money. The Prime Minister cited the example of human losses of Denmark in Iraq and Afghanistan that are compatible with US losses, given the ratio of the size of both countries. The Danish media also reported that after such a statement, Donald Trump approached him, saying ‘a nice point’.

It turns out that Trump understands only strength. And unfortunately, Rasmussen does not find support among the other European leaders. Or it’s just for now?

Who should take refugees in Europe?

The number of illegal refugees seeking to enter the EU countries is growing every day, but, unfortunately, the number of EU countries refusing to accept migrants is growing with it. Let me remind you that the new Minister of the Interior of Italy Matteo Salvini refused to accept the vessel with illegal migrants (629 people), thus provoking a violent reaction to the EU. Fortunately, two days later Spain decided to accept these people on board in Valencia.
Europe is going through the most serious migration crisis, caused by a number of armed conflicts and economic problems in the countries of Africa and the Middle East. And so far, one of the main problems remains unresolved: Who should save and host the migrants who have suffered the disaster?
It turns out that according to the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, the captains of vessels should assist people at risk at sea. But what should happen after people are saved, and how this should be solved from a legal point of view, is not clearly stated in the document. So, no country is obliged to give permission to land on its shore to people on board a vessel that has been wrecked.
Most likely, Salvini’s decision will give a new impetus to the reform of the European asylum system. One of the compromise solutions may be an agreement to show solidarity with countries along the borders of the EU and share a burden of responsibility with Italy, Greece or Bulgaria. But how this will happen, the EU member states themselves must decide. In 2016, the European Commission has already made a number of proposals. So far none of them have been realized …
I hope that this time Europe will still be able to find a compromise – and right-wing populists who came to power in some EU countries will not be able to prevent it. After all, even the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who opposes the adoption of refugees by Europe, agreed to consider financial support.
While the EU countries are discussing the adoption and distribution of refugees, migrants are changing their usual routes. And nowadays the popular place is Spain. Here in recent months there has been an increased flow of migrants trying to get to Europe via the Mediterranean. In this situation, the proposal of the Spanish government to take in Valencia people who are aboard the vessel MS Aquarius was a nice gesture. But not all are going to follow the example of Spain.
I think that many are concerned about the decision of the Italian authorities on Aquarius. Since they clearly run counter to international norms and risk creating a dangerous situation for all countries. Therefore, it is time to regulate the standards for granting asylum and to ensure that all EU countries take part in this.

Pedro Agramunt exposed the activities of European organizations financed by Soros

It’s no secret that the American billionaire George Soros has been actively interfering in political processes for a long time with the aim of creating chaos in Europe.
The former PACE President Pedro Agramunt, charged with corruption, convinced of that. So, he conducted his personal investigation to save his reputation, and found out that some organizations controlled by the American billionaire, worked in the EU Institutions.
Let me remind you that in October 2017 Pedro Agramunt resigned as PACE President because of the scandal caused by his trip to Syria, and because of constant charges of corruption. After that, he decided to find out which people and organizations had started a political campaign against him. And the results were impressive.
The main accuser was Gerald Knaus, the Chairman of the European Stability Initiative (ESI). ESI positions itself as an ordinary non-governmental organization, but in fact, according to Agramunt’s lawyers, it is a lobbying structure introduced into the files of lobbyists of the European Commission and the European Parliament.
The PACE President Pedro Agramunt, in particular, was trying to make transparent the activities of all lobbying structures. According to him, he wanted to force active lobbyists in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to declare themselves. And the fact that the main accusation against him was put forward by the lobbying organization, seemed at least very strange.
Things get even more interesting if we look at the ESI Chairman. It turned out that Gerald Knaus maintains close relations with Nicholas Whyte, the head of the Independent Diplomacy, the aim of which is to internationalize the process of the independence of Catalonia. During this process the Catalan government sought assistance from this organization.
Finally, Knaus and Whyte had the common source of funding for their organizations, the Open Society Foundation (OSF), owned by billionaire George Soros.
As a result of the investigation, Agramunt came to the conclusion that all the organizations controlled by Soros brought charges against him, and that these structures were introduced into the state institutions of Europe. According to Agramunt, these organizations conducted an international company aimed at discrediting and slandering his personality, and these same people supported the undermining of independence in Spain.
But the American billionaire not only conducts the process of lobbying in parliaments. Numerous NGOs around the world work not only with deputies and state officials, but with opposition forces, the media, public opinion, resolving different political tasks. One of them, for example, was the referendum on the self-determination of Catalonia. Now a new goal is set: Soros is directly engaged in the changing of UK’s mind about leaving the European Union.
So, the other day the billionaire announced that on June 8 in the United Kingdom launched a nationwide campaign in support of a new referendum, which should abolish the Brexit. There was created the ‘Best for Britain’ movement, and mass protests are planned. It is known that Soros has already sent to the British supporters of European integration a total of almost 700 thousand US dollars.
I think that it is necessary to fight against such structures, financed by a billionaire of Hungarian origin, in order to prevent them from creating chaos in Europe and to promote their own interests …

Trump remembers the Holocaust, but forgets about Europe

On May 9, 2018, the US President Donald Trump signed Law 447 or JUST (Justice for Uncompensated Survivors Today). It is interesting that this happened the day after the celebration of VE Day of the surrender of Germany in 1945.
In the communique, the White House said that the law required a report on the actions of certain countries with regard to the disposition of Holocaust era assets. The presence of such property in 46 countries must be reported to Congress by the US Secretary of State in 18 months. If this is not possible to determine any direct descendants, then the objects will be transferred to organizations that conduct Holocaust studies.
The law 447 does not mention any countries. And this document does not give any special powers to the USA. However, this law caused the greatest reaction in Poland. One of the founders of the Polish Conservative and Liberal Party Union of Real Politics, a professor at the Higher School of International Relations and American Studies in Warsaw, Stanisław Michalkiewicz said: “On May 9, 2018, Poland finally lost the Second World War … Now the Poles should pay 300 billion dollars to the Jews for the fact that they were killed by the Germans”. It was a cry of the soul in response to the law JUST. The Polish President Andrzej Duda expressed his fears that “this law might in some way pose a threat that would directed against Poland”.
Such actions of the United States can greatly complicate relations between Washington and the European allies, and this time it happens to Warsaw. And this, despite the fact that Poland presents the US interests in Europe, and after Brexit it was seen as the main representative of the USA in the European Union. But even with such important partners, the USA are ready to confront for their own reasons.
Earlier Washington withdrew from the Iranian nuclear deal and moved the embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. These actions of the US officials (especially the situation concerning Iran) caused misunderstanding and criticism of US partners in Europe. However, the White House does not pay attention to this.
Anyway, all the above-mentioned actions of the USA concern Israel. And they committed to please the Israeli side. So, why does Trump strive so actively to please Israel? There can be several answers. And one of the assumptions might sound like this: Donald Trump hopes that these actions will not be ignored by the influential Jewish clans of the USA and they will help him to avoid the impeachment. The threat of the impeachment of the 45th US President continues to exist and it is clear to everyone, including himself. Democrats and a part of the Republicans are just waiting for Trump’s new mistakes. Therefore, all these actions are aimed at seeking support from Soros, Rothschilds and other representatives of a powerful Jewish office in the United States.
It turns out that Donald Trump is just afraid of losing his presidency. And all these actions, which can inflict significant damage to the European and world security, are aimed at preserving its place in the White House. It becomes obvious that the current US power is even more unpredictable than it seemed. And in their personal interests it can go on deteriorating relations with long-term partners.

For the first time in the history of the EU: Poland is deprived of the right to vote

The patience of the European bureaucracy has burst. The European Commission decided to impose sanctions on Poland for the deviation from established democratic norms by the authorities of the country. Earlier Warsaw decided to reform the judicial system, effectively subordinating it to the legislature. According to the European Commission, the reform in Poland subordinates the judiciary to politicians and the rule of law is violated.
Further steps concerning Poland will be discussed at the plenary session of the European Parliament, which will be held on February 28. If the European Parliament at the plenary session approves the imposition of sanctions, then Warsaw will temporarily lose the right to vote in the Council of the EU, that will be an unprecedented case in the history of the European Union.
The decision will be made if it is approved by at least 22 of the 27 member countries of the European Union, except, in fact, Poland. At the same time, for the deprivation of Warsaw’s right to vote in the Council of Europe, the unanimous statement of the EU Summit is necessary: it must state that there is a “serious and persistent” violation of the EU values by the Polish authorities.
It is still difficult to imagine the expulsion of Poland and its deprivation of the right to vote in the Council of the EU, because the country will receive support from the countries of the Visegrad Group, which collectively oppose the EU migration policy. Thus, Hungary has already announced its intention to support Poland and vote against the imposition of sanctions.
Considering all of the above, we can add that such actions by the EU may offend Poland. It is not excluded that the country will try to create its alliance among the countries of the Visegrad Group.
Thus, Poland can lead to a serious split of the European Union. After all, Warsaw does not want to obey the rules of others, it only establishes its own. But only a single union will be able to withstand global problems, which there are many at the present time. In turn, Europe only weakens each time …
